Our Courses
Three programmes, one considered arc
Each programme stands on its own. Together, they move from early reflection to a complete, personal legacy document — at whatever pace suits you.
← HomeOur Approach
How we teach — and why it works
Our methodology begins with what you care about — before it moves to what you can do about it. This sequencing is not accidental. People who arrive at estate planning or charitable giving without having first articulated their own values tend to default to whatever the adviser in front of them recommends. The outcome is rarely what they would have chosen with more time and clarity.
Qilin Counsel programmes reverse this. We spend time on the foundational questions first, then introduce the available instruments, then help participants think through the family conversations that make any plan durable.
Programme delivery
Fortnightly sessions
Each session runs approximately ninety minutes. Sessions are held at our Quarry Bay office in a small group setting.
Between-session reading
Short curated reading packs are provided after each session. Reading is optional but most participants find it valuable.
Reflection exercises
Written prompts help participants develop their thinking in their own time. These form the foundation of the legacy document in the full programme.
Follow-up window
Three months of written follow-up with our facilitator, included in every programme fee.

Not sure which to choose?
If you are new to this kind of thinking, Thinking About Legacy is often the best starting point. If you already have a clear sense of your values but want to understand the practical giving landscape, Charitable Giving Foundations stands alone well. If you want a single, thorough process that produces something tangible, the Full Programme is designed for that.
